Court diary and Today board
A court diary that fills itself in
The whole chamber's listings, the past dates that still need a next date, and every task due, on one screen each morning.
The problem
The paper diary lives with one person. When a junior covers a matter and forgets to write the next date, the chamber finds out when the client calls.
How AdvocateFlow handles it
- Type one line after a hearing, such as "next date 12 Nov, evidence PW2", and the next listing is created.
- Past hearings with no next date are listed in red until someone fills them in.
- The week view filters by advocate, junior or clerk, shows court holidays, and syncs to Google or Apple Calendar on each person's phone.
- A morning brief by SMS or email lists today's matters, tasks due and limitation deadlines in the coming week.
Questions
- Can juniors and clerks see the diary?
- Yes. Each member signs in with their own role. Juniors and clerks see the matters assigned to them; the advocate sees everything.
- Does it work without internet in court?
- Yes. The installable phone app keeps the next 14 days of the diary offline, and outcomes entered offline sync later.
